Copperhill, Tennessee · On the Ocoee River
A riverfront cabin where the sound of whitewater is your alarm clock, bald eagles circle next door, and the fireplace is warm enough to melt chocolate.
Our Place
Tucked along the banks of the Ocoee River in downtown Copperhill, Tennessee — this isn't just a rental, it's a homebase. Every window frames a river view. Every morning starts with the sound of moving water and the chance to spot a bald eagle in the oak tree next door.
Whether you're here to chase whitewater, cast a fly rod from the deck, tube down to Horseshoe Bend, or simply stay inside by the fire while the river rolls past — the Retreat has a way of keeping families coming back year after year.
"The house has a cozy charm that keeps you inside — even when the Ocoee is calling."— Ocoee River Retreat · Copperhill, TN
Inside the Retreat
Four bedrooms upstairs — three queens and a kids' twin room — plus 30 feet of continuous kitchen counter space for feeding a crew. The living room and dining room face the river, so the view never stops.
The gas fireplace runs so warm it once melted a chocolate bar left on the mantle. On cold nights, you won't need much convincing to stay in — the river views, the board games, and every streaming service on Apple TV will handle the rest.
The River & Beyond
Step off the back deck and you're on the Ocoee. Launch your kayak or tubes right from the property and float back from Horseshoe Bend. Watch pros cast flies for 3–4 lb brown trout from the same spot you're standing — or better yet, grab the rod yourself.
Summer brings a lush green riverbank and towering hardwoods. Come winter, the bare trees reveal the old copper mine and railroad tracks — a raw, moody Appalachian landscape unlike anything else. Both are beautiful. Both are worth the trip.
